Welcome to another season of Northfield Raider Lacrosse (NRL)! The season is rapidly approaching, with evaluations scheduled for April 1-2, with our first practice on April 3, Parent and Player meeting on April 4 and our pre-season scrimmages in Rosemount on April 6. The season is coming fast, and we have much to do and much to tell you! So please read everything below.

High School Registration, Fee & Sports Physicals – Please ensure you are registered with the high school and have a current physical on file with the Activities Department.

Northfield Raider Lacrosse Registration & Fee – You must register with NRL as well as NHS. This serves as our team registration, waiver, contact info and fee collection process. The NRL fee covers such expenses as gear cost defrayment, coach stipends, Dundas Dome rentals, senior night events, season banquet, team meals for away games, team bonding activities, website and much more!

High School Lacrosse Equipment- The following items are required to participate in NHS Lacrosse.
Helmet -$320: NRL will have NHS approved helmets (with new decals) available for purchase. Players must have this helmet to participate, per MSHSL policies. If you can source this helmet from a past NHS player that will be fine, subject to Coach approval. If you are unable to purchase a new helmet due to financial constraints, please contact Coach Wright or a member of the booster club, and we will do our best to help support you.
Gloves -$200: DELIVERY UPDATE – If you ordered new gloves their expected delivery is now late May. If you need new gloves Coach Wright asks you purchase on your own and in white or black (white preferred)
Practice Pinny, Shorts & Shooter - $99: These kits are required to participate. The kit includes pinny, shorts, and a shooter (under pad) shirt and will be kept by the players. Replacement items will be at the cost of the players. New kits will be issued upon receipt of payment. Kits can be purchased on our online team store.
Parent & Player Meeting, April 4, 7:00pm, NMS Auditorium - Coaches and Board members will discuss the season and answer any questions you may have.
Uniform Deposit - $100: will be collected during Parent & Player meeting. Deposits may be made by check payable to Northfield Raider Lacrosse. Checks will be returned upon return of uniform to NRL at end of season.
Gear Bag Deposit-$100: New this season will be NRL gear bags. Each player will lease a bag from NHS with a deposit of $100. Undamaged (normal wear and tear acceptable) bags returned to NHS after the season will qualify for deposit return.
Mouth guard Offer - Schieck Orthodontics has generously supported NRL in past seasons with free Sisu mouth guards. We anticipate their continued support this season. More info will come soon on this.
Volunteering – NRL runs on the help from fantastic volunteers like you! Please visit www.raiderlacrosse.com/volunteer to sign up for shifts to help with fundraising, concessions, game day and more!
All HS players will be assigned shifts at the youth tournament on May 18th after the meeting.
Important Dates
April 1: Tryouts at Dundas Dome – 4-6pm. *Be dressed/ready 10 minutes prior. **Stay tuned for email, follow site calendar.
April 2: Tryouts at Dundas Dome - 5:45-8pm
April 3: JV & Varsity rosters announced. Practice @ Dome – 3:45-6pm. *JV & Varsity game uniforms will be handed out after practice.
April 4: Parent & Player Meeting -7:00 PM, MHS Auditorium. Practice @ Dome – 4:45-7pm
April 6: JV/Varsity Scrimmages @ Rosemount HS. *See calendar times and locations.
April 11: First JV/V Game @ Eagan. See calendar for times and location.
April 17: Team Pictures – 4pm (Upper Cafeteria. *Uniform color will be determined the week of pictures.
